The Defro Firewood Plus 19 kW natural draft boiler is a manually fed solid fuel boiler for split logs and use in central hot water heating systems. It is suitable for heating systems where a robust wood boiler with clear technical features, buffer tank connection, and professional integration into a closed heating system is intended.
The boiler body is constructed as a multi-pass steel structure with a water jacket. Combustion takes place via a cast iron grate with a steel insert in the combustion chamber, while primary air is supplied through the air flap and secondary air through side air inlets. The electronic draft regulator supports the control of the primary air flap, and an analog boiler thermometer is used for temperature monitoring on the unit.
The arrangement of the loading door, ignition door, and ash door facilitates access to the combustion chamber, ash chamber, and cleaning areas. Turbulators in the convection channels support heat transfer within the boiler, while the insulation of the boiler body reduces heat loss. The integrated safety heat exchanger is an important component of the technical equipment for safe system operation.
The Defro Firewood Plus 19 kW is intended for closed heating systems and must be combined with a buffer tank. Professional hydraulic integration, suitable return temperature boosting, and a properly designed flue gas system are required for operation. The design of the chimney, buffer tank, safety devices, and heating circuits should be coordinated within the overall system.

The boiler should be set up and integrated in a suitable, ventilated, and frost-free boiler room. The hydraulic connection, electrical connection, and flue gas connection must be carried out professionally. A buffer tank, suitable return temperature boosting, and the integration of the required safety devices into the heating system must be provided for operation.
Only untreated split logs with an appropriate residual moisture content should be used for operation. The return temperature must be kept sufficiently high to protect the boiler body from harmful condensation and corrosion. Before installation, commissioning, and maintenance, the technical documents, requirements for heating water, chimney, and safety devices, as well as local regulations, must be observed.
