The combination storage tank connection kit offers a universally applicable mounting set for the needs-based connection of combination buffer tanks, stratified combination tanks, and hygienic combination tanks. It enables the easy integration of steel tanks with integrated hot water heating and ensures optimal heat distribution.

This set makes connecting your buffer tank not only more convenient but also safer. The included insulating plugs for all 1½-inch connections ensure that unused female threaded buffer tank connections are reliably sealed.

Advantages and Applications

A key advantage of the connection kit is its universal applicability. It is designed for buffer tanks with up to eight 1.5-inch female threaded charging connections and two 1.25-inch male threaded connections for hot water. The system, illustrated with a hydraulic example, enables quick and easy installation, allowing installers to rely on a practical solution.

The temperature difference between heat emission with and without insulating plugs (approx. 70°C versus 18°C) shows how efficiently the package contributes to minimizing heat loss and optimizing energy use.

Technical details and assembly

The set includes insulating plugs for all 1½-inch connections, as well as essential components such as automatic air vents, boiler filling and draining valves, and universal ball valves. These components ensure smooth operation and easy maintenance of the heating system.

The package also includes an LK hot water/domestic hot water mixer with scald protection, adjustable between 35 and 60 °C. This guarantees additional protection against scalding and ensures safe use of hot water.

The connection package includes the following components:

EXSEL12 – Quick air vent with shut-off valve ½", KFEH12 – Brass boiler filling and draining valve (½"), 4x KGH1 – Universal ball valve 1" with red lever, 2x EXBIZ – bimetallic pointer thermometers with immersion sleeve (½", 0-120° Ø63mm) and HM1 – HydroMix domestic hot water mixer 1".

The set is complemented by DGVTLME1MS – brass through-flow valve with rising spindle and drain (1", DVGW-certified), various red brass double nipples and reducing sockets, reducers, plugs, and buffer connection insulation for all 1½" connections. A detailed assembly and hydraulic diagram completes the package.
